    When we hear the word nonfiction, the first thing we think about is probably a biography or maybe a boring textbook. That does not make it a very exciting does it? However, if we look at the trends in nonfiction writing US, there are more than one types worth mentioning.

    For say creative non-fiction where the stories are real fact-based events. The writers usually focus on writing feature stories, memoirs or personal essays. Feature stories a type of creative nonfiction found is newspapers, magazines or journals. They typically cover cultures and lifestyles as a subject. Memoirs are personal stories and memories, written in the first person. They are usually similar to novels. People also focus on writing personal essays.
